How long do dental restorations last?

Today, dental restorations like crowns, bridges, and dentures are more durable than ever and designed to stand up to routine wear and tear. But the lifespan of any dental restoration depends entirely on how well you care for your oral health.

For instance, a well-made dental crown should give you 15 years of use. But poor oral hygiene or inadequate gum care can dramatically reduce the longevity of your crown. Likewise, the average lifespan of a dental bridge is 5 to 15 years, but you need to take proper care of your oral health to enjoy the benefits of a restored smile.

We can't be with you 24/7, so we assist you by answering your questions and demonstrating proper oral hygiene techniques. We then support those efforts with semi-annual exams and comprehensive dental cleanings.

At Boca Smiles Dentistry, your good oral health is a team effort. If you are thinking of making a change to your smile and have questions, please don't hesitate to call us at (561) 827-8628. We will be happy to arrange a consultation so you can talk to Dr. Lee about your concerns and let us know how we can help you.
